Our Proven Certification Program

Performing Arts Physical Therapy (PAPT) offers the very highest level of Traditional Pilates Teacher Certification available. For over ten years, under the direction of Certified Pilates Master Teacher Melinda Bryan (certified & ordained by first generation Pilates Master Romana Kryzanowska), PAPT has trained and produced over 300 certified Pilates experts. Six hundred hours of apprenticeship are required to obtain Pilates Instructor Certification. This intensive training qualifies our instructors to teach physically fit people and enhances their ability to design post rehabilitation programs. Instructors who receive their Pilates certification from PAPT are among the most sought after by health and fitness centers around the world. The comprehensive training program is internationally recognized and is listed as an educational organization with the Pilates Method Alliance.

Since 1992, the Pilates Studio® of Los Angeles continues its Pilates Teacher Certification Program. The Pilates method has received the most ever media coverage over the past few years, due to its never-ending popularity. The chief complaint that we hear from other studio owners and our clients is that there are not enough qualified Pilates instructors. The demand is greater than the supply. Therefore, we have added two new options to our certification program to better serve you and the rest of the world seeking to gain knowledge in the Pilates method.

The options give the student the opportunity to decide how to best participate in the program based on their individual needs while receiving professional instruction and the meeting of all course objectives. Students may elect to obtain certification or they may attend the seminars to receive a certificate of completion. There are also employment opportunities available within two of the options. All lectures with the exception of review days may be taken as individual workshops by candidates not enrolled in the Certification Program. However, students enrolled for certification will be given priority. Please pass this information on to others that may be interested in pursuing Pilates certification or course work.
